Lagos4Lagos initiator, Jandor mourns Asim-Ita

The demise of Emilia Asim-Ita, co-founder of The Future Awards Africa and former partner, Red Media Africa, was described as a hard pill to swallow. The initiator of the Lagos4Lagos movement, Mr. Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran, took to his official Instagram handle, @officialjandor, to mourn the late Scribe-in-Chief of the Eko United group, the elites' engaging platform of the Lagos4Lagos movement. Jandor, as he his fondly called said “You left us unannounced Emilia...I had thought we are going to pull this through together, but God knows best and we can’t query Him”. Appreciating her for the dedication and commitment to ensure that Lagos works for all, Jandor added “Thank you for all you contributed to our Lagos4lagos project”. Speaking further, he prayed that “May God accept your return”. Other prominent Nigerians also mourned her death, describing it as a rude shock. Her brother, Williams Asim-Ita, confirmed that she died at the age of 33.

OSHODI-ISOLO LOCAL GOVERNMENT APC STAKEHOLDERS DELIBERATE ON THE REGISTRATION/REVALIDATION OF PARTY MEMBERS

Stakeholders of the All progressives Congress  in Oshodi-Isolo Local  Government assembled at the Pa Olabintan Marriage registry in Oshodi-Isolo Local Government secretariat on Thursday to deliberate on how the party can achieve  success in the forthcoming membership registration/ revalidation of the party members.  The stakeholders who cut across the two LCDAs and the local government    have in attendance, Hon Monsuru Obe ( Chairman Ejigbo LCDA, Hon.shamusideen Olaleye ( Isolo LCDA), and Hon.Idris Bolaji Muse Ariyoh ( Oshodi-Isolo LGA). The Chairman of Senate Committee on Judiciary and Human Rights Matters, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele has debunked reports that he is indebted to defunct Oceanic Bank or Sterling Bank or any other banks.  Senator Opeyemi in a statement signed by his legislative aide  said the report was attempt by some political gladiators and pseudo online reporters to portray Sen.Bamidele as a debtor. The statement added that said news report is a sponsored, politically motivated and malicious statement aimed at maligning the image of our principal and to discredit him in the perception of the people who love and cherish him as a decent and credible public servant without any blemish or baggage of scandal. LASTMA OFFICER KILLED BY RECKLESS DRIVER.

An officer of the Lagos State traffic Authority (LASTMA) Samson Olawale Akinmade has been killed by a reckless driver in Ketu area on Tuesday.  According to an eye witness who will want to remain anonymous "He was killed on Tuesday by driver of a blue-black Opel Space Bus with him number plate AAA 74 GG who knocked him down at Demurin Street junction inwards Mile 12 while on duty.* Information has it that the murderer driver was arrested while trying to escape through  what he thought was a street that turned out to be a close. Zulum welcomes new service chiefs, promise to support ongoing war against insurgency

Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Zulum has welcomed the appointment of new service chiefs by President Muhammadu Buhari, promising to continue to support them in the ongoing fight against insurgency. The governor, who also expressed gratitude to outgoing ones, particularly the chiefs of army, and air staff, Lt. General Tukur Buratai and Air Marshall Abubakar Sadique, whom he said his government worked more closely with in the fight against Boko Haram. Zulum made the comment on Tuesday night in Maiduguri, when some journalists sought his reaction to the President’s action.
