Oshodi Isolo APC candidate presents vice chairman.

NDLEA intercepts drugs heading for Niger bandits

Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have arrested two drug dealers with 24.5 kilogrammes of assorted drugs meant for consumption of suspected bandits in Niger State. A statement on Wednesday by spokesman of the NDLEA, Femi Babafemi said two drug dealers, Martins Okwor Ejiofor, 31, and Bala Mohammed, 33, were arrested by the operatives of the agency with a total of 24.450 kilogrammes of assorted substances meant to be delivered in Gwada, Shiroro Local Government of Niger State where bandits in neighbouring forest buy their illicit drugs.  According to him, Gwada has one of the two functional markets bordering the forest where bandits and kidnappers hibernate in Niger State. He disclosed that the drugs seized from the two suspects include Codeine – 7.100kg, Diazepam – 6.400kg and Exol 5 – 10.950kg.  Babafemi said the Kwara State NDLEA Command’s Highway Patrol Team made the interception along Okolowo (Ilorin) – Jebba Highway in a Hiace bus, with registration num

A pan Nigerian movement,Team Nigeria4change,Lagos chapter  has warned those planning to forment trouble in Lagos State during the june 12 celebration on Saturday to desist from formenting trouble in the state,describing them as trouble makers and infiltrators.  The warning was handed down on Wednesday in Lagos in a press statement signed by it's State Coordinator,Comrade Ola Onasanya,stating that "commercial protesters " ,who have been hired to destabilize the peace of Lagos will be resisted by all possible means.   The group maintained that though it believes in freedom of association,but planning to destabilize the peace of Lagos barely seven months after the unfortunate incident of the endsars debacle is uncalled for, irresponsible and uncharitable.  According to  Comrade Ola Onasanya" why will not prevent people from exercising their freedom of association and rights to free movement,we shall not allow agents of destabilisation to disturb the peace of Lagos again

Lagos Assembly Considers Bill To Compensate Victims Of Crime

Lagos Lawmakers during plenary have read for the second time “A proposal for a Bill for a Law to provide for the Rights and Entitlements of Victims and Protection of witnesses and for other Connected Purposes”. The memorandum of the Bill seeks Mr. Governor’s approval to present the Lagos State victims assistance and witness protection Bill, 2020 for the consideration and approval of the State Executive Council and transmission of same to the State House of Assembly as an Executive Bill for enactment into Law. Giving the breakdown of the Bill, Hon. Victor Akande stated that the Bill which has 86 sections seeks to address the inadequacies in the administration of Criminal Justice by providing assistance or compensation for victims who have no other form of compensation from any Insurance Policy or any other existing scheme while also providing protection for witnesses under possible threat to life, harm or loss of property. NO ATTACK ON IKORODU POLICE STATION, LAGOS COMMAND

The Lagos State Police Command wishes to clear the air that there was no attack on Ikorodu Police Station, Igbogbo, Lagos State or any of its police formations in the State.   There is no Ogijo Police Station in the Lagos State Police Command but in Ogun State, and the same station, Ogijo, was never attacked as being speculated in the news.  The video in circulation was a portion of the scene of the recent Bank Robbery Attack in Ikire Osun State.  The Lagos State Police Command therefore urges the general public to disregard the viral video as it's fake, mischievous and mere social media projection The Command remains resolute in providing adequate security for all and sundry in Lagos State.
