Monday, 2 January, 2023 really rocked at the Amore Gardens, Lekki Phase I, Lekki, Lagos. The occasion was the New Year Festival organised by Fuji music lord, K1 The Ultimate aptly tagged All White Party. The Fuji King himself was on bandstand. One woman stole the show and was the cynosure of all eyes. Erelu of Otta Kingdom, Princess Adenike Segilola Akindele Eleku brought her campaign for the election of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to the venue of the musical show. The New Year festivities did not stop the woman of substance from her campaign for the former Lagos State Governor. In partnership with Bilique, organiser of the grand event, Princess Akindele stormed the party with her trademark: the customised MP-3 transistor radio for Asiwaju Tinubu. Court ejects Lagos PDP from secretariat over unpaid rent

Opposition People's Democratic Party (PDP) has been ejected from its Lagos state secretariat on Adekunle Fajuyi way Ikeja over unpaid rent by the party. The Execution order was effected in the early hours of Monday by fully armed mobile police officers and court baillif. The execution lasted for over two hours, where the property of the former ruling party was thrown out.   Most of the neighbors of the party were surprised at the development as they discussed the ejection in groups. Efforts to get the party spokesperson proved abortive as his number wasn't going through at the time of filling this report.

We won't compromise standard - Films Censor Boss

The Director General of the National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB), Alhaji Adedayo Thomas has disclosed that the board under his watch will not compromise standard in the classification of films and videos. The films censor boss also said that the protection of children will be paramount. He made the disclosure on Tuesday in Lagos at a press conference on regulation and training on Over-The-Top contents at KAB Hub, where he stated that the board has consistently maintained close contact and relationship with critical stakeholders in the industry.  He further posited that since he took over the reins in the board, some many bureaucratic bottlenecks as it affect classification of films and videos in the country has been brought to a minimal end.   According to Alhaji Thomas, "since we came on board, the challenge of classification has been dealt with, from what it used to be. The Vice-Chairman, Oshodi-Isolo local government, Mrs Modupe Badmus-Aregbe has advised students to be focused on their studies. Mrs Badmus Aregbe gave this advice when she was speaking at the Spelling Bee Competition held at the council secretariat on Thursday. Be ruthless with drug barons, cartels, Marwa charges NDLEA strike force corps

Chairman/Chief Executive of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (Retd) has charged officers and men of the Agencys Strike Force Corps to go all out and root out drug barons and cartels from their hideouts across the country. Marwa gave the charge at the special operations training graduation ceremony for 143 officers of the Strike Force Corps at the Nigerian Army School of Infantry, NASI, Jaji, Kaduna state on Monday. According to the NDLEA boss, "the drug scourge in Nigeria is unacceptable with almost 15 million Nigerians abusing substances, 20 percent of who are addicted, which is three times the global average. We're conscious of our job to block and prevent availability of narcotic drugs, and that necessitated the formation of the Strike Force to enhance our capability for complex operations. The Strike Force is the tip of our spear in our interdiction efforts and as such we must keep the tip sharpened and always ready to strike,
