CHAIRMANSHIP ASPIRANT FELICITATES WITH NIGERIA @ 60,CALLS FOR MORE UNDERSTANDING.

A chairmanship aspirant for the seat of Oshodi local government and a business man, Otunba Kehinde Oloyede Almaroof joins several other Nigerians as well as government all over the world to felicitate with the country on the attainment of sixty years if flagged independence.  


In a press release he personally signed,  titled"

INDEPENDENCE DAY MESSAGE OF PEACE, HOPE AND COMMENDATIONS" commended founding fathers who fought for the country's independence as well as those who ensure the return to democracy from military rule.


According to him "I felicitate with millions of Nigerians and the good people of Oshodi as we celebrate our nation’s independence day. This year has been a tough one with the COVID-19 pandemic which is still presently with us, am hopeful before the end of the year we shall sing a new song of praise.

As  patriotic citizens, let us put extra effort into performing our own civic responsibilities and let us remember our past leaders who lost their lives in the battle for the freedom we are celebrating today. Our diversity should not be seen as  weakness but as strength in working together to build a nation where peace and tolerance reigns."


The business man cum.politician commended Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his commitment to good governance and deepening of the country 's democracy".


He said Without party politics there is no governance. "In view of this, I commend our National Leader of All Progressive Congress (APC) ASIWAJU BOLA AHMED TINUBU JAGABAN for his thoughtful leadership, great vision and sincerity of purspose in every aspect of our Nation's Leadership including our great party All Progressive Congress (APC) by addressing all emerging challenges same time striving hard to make things better with new approaches and unfaltering determination."


Continuing"a  grand salute to the President of our dear country PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU BUHARI GCFR. for his leadership dexterity even in the face of crisis rocking our country."


"also i commend the Lagos State Governor HIS EXCELLENCY GOV. BABAJIDE SANWOLU for his hard work and perseverance in serving the good people of Lagos State.

I must commend the local government chairman HON. MUSE ARIYOH for his service to people of Oshodi during this trying period of global economic fluctuation.

I also commend Labour Unions: NLC, TUC, NULGE, NURTW, NUPENG, ASUU/ASUP, SSANIP, SSANU, SEWUN, NUJ, NUT, NUP and all other affiliates of Labour Unions for their resilence effort in  promoting, defending and advancing the economic, social rights and wellbeing of Nigerian workers and pensioners"


 Finally ,he gave great  accolade to the good people of Oshodi for their trust and believe in his  party despite the challenges at hand." As we all know the local government election is fast approaching and this is the time to reconcile and settle our differences. A time to come up with programs that will provide opportunities for everybody rather than throwing political jabs and calumnious campaign against one another. We must believe that the possibility of a good and functioning society begins with us. Let us learn to tender the garden and not to destroy it."


He however threw a challenge to Nigeriana that they should look at what they can do for Nigeria At 60,  and that  leaders cannot do it alone hence, it is a collective effort.

The proposed Community Development Association Law, 2020, when passed by the Assembly and eventually signed into law by the governor, would institutionalize the activities of CDAs in Ogun state  with a view to developing a uniformed constitution  for its operation with clearly defined roles for the relevant government agencies in the administration of the associations.
