Management of Security in Nigeria.

Crime, according to traditional theorists is caused by three phenomena. These includes, poverty, ethnic heterogeneity and residential mobility.. Other causes are single-parent families, structural density and urbanization. All these imcrease social integration and informal social control, as well as increased isolation from economic and political forces.. Also, many enviromental factors such as poverty, unemployment, the disintegrating family, drugs and alcohol abuse have been identified as contributing to criminality.
In view of all these, and as we also know that insecurity confronting Nigeria as a country is man-made which can be successfully dealt with by the same man. Government at all levels should jetission or rather stop playing politics with security of life and property of the civil populace ,and as a matter of urgency rise up to their responsibilities by reaching out to all the aggrieved party members, the traditional rulers, religious groups, and few others. Seek their opinions, find out the reasons for their lamentation, then come up with sound solutions by addressing their various grievances with possible solutions..
Goverment should as a matter of urgency makes it clear that the issue of security is everybody's bussines. State Governors should encourage security personnels in their state with good honorarium not reductions in their monthly allowances as we heard is the habit of some state Governors. There should also be harmonious working relation between and among security agencies... Governors should adopt feedback mechanism as most times, their CSOs dont usually deliver most Governors' goodwill package to the security personnels attached to their government houses. This should be taken more seriously since security agencies are meant to safeguard lives and properties of the entire citizenry in the country..The unholy relationship among the security agencies should also be addressed..This is very important as a nation that is adequately secured makes life worthy to live for its citizenry in terms of socio-economic well being and freedom from fear in all ramifications.. . Every nation, be it developed or developing, encounters one form or all forms of social vices such as terrorism, kidnapping, militancy, insurgency, just to mention but a few.
Historically, Nigeria as a nation right from independence is well known to be bedevilled with legion of crises rooted in politics, ethno-religious crises, among others.. Procurement of arms and ammunition is good but not necessarily the best for now.., rather, massive investment should be directed on security technology's devices such as drones. I mean drones that can fly for many hours, etc..
