Exclusive: Obasa's Group Contemplate Defection, Discusses With Atiku Group

After its show of shame at the ACME Road state secretariat of the Lagos chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), the political group of embattled Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, RT Honourable Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa has taken its 'war' against the party with decision to defect and work for another political party at the expense of APC.


Our correspondent learnt exclusively that this was the decision taken during an emergency meeting of the group's inner caucus after the ACME road debacle.


We learnt that the group has given the APC leadership in the state up till Friday this week to meet its demand or its members defect to another party.


Sources from the emergency meeting told our correspondent that they are considering both the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC) and the African Democratic (ADC).


Our sources however confirmed that they eventually settled for ADC anchoring their belief on the large followers of Atiku Abubakar in Agege.


Immediately, a team has been set up to meet and discuss with Atiku's group in Agege with a view to bring about a collaboration between the two groups.


This medium learnt that with Obasa not present at the meeting, members have resolved to present the decisions reached to him when they meet with him late Tuesday.
