COUNCIL AUTHORITY COMMENCES CONSTRUCTION AND PROVISION OF SOLAR STREET LIGHTS AT OGUNLANA STREET

Implores residents and motorists to ply  alternative roads for hitch-free work on the road. As part of the commitment of Hon. Idris Bolaji Muse Ariyoh's administration to the infrastructural development of the council, the council authority has commenced with the construction and provision of solar street lights at Ogunlana street. The project is handled by LATMUS BUILDERS NIG.ENTERPRISES and is  said to take the duration of 5weeks. Residents and motorists are however implored to take alternative routes to give room for hitch-free work and for quick delivery as promised.

ENVIRONMENTAL OFFENDERS UNDERGO COMMUNITY SERVICE

.  LAWMA enforcement team has intensified efforts in making sure that every form of environmental infractions will not be tolerated in the state. Environmental offenders who were arrested were sentenced to community service by a Lagos State mobile court, this serves as deterrent to those who choose to defy environmental laws in the state, by engaging in indiscriminate refuse disposal.   This is to send a strong signal to Lagosians that LAWMA and indeed the state will leave no stone unturned in ensuring that anyone, regardless of position and status, caught in the act of violating environment laws will be put to shame and brought to justice.

GRANT LAGOS SPECIAL STATUS, CAIDOV APPEALS.

Borno launches 25 years Development Plan

Borno State Government has unveiled a-25 year Development Plan aimed at rebuilding from the devastating destruction of Boko Haram and propel the troubled state into modernity. The State Governor, Prof. Babagana Zulum on Saturday while unveiling the strategic plan, noted that it has medium and long implementation phases, through which Borno targets to become world class after fully recovering from impacts of more than $6 billion worth of destructions caused by Boko Haram. He said all activities of government will henceforth be executed according to the development plan. LASG to Empower 2.5M Youths through Arts, Crafts

The Lagos State Government is set to empower over 2.5 million youths in Arts and Crafts in order to make them self-reliant and economically independent. The Special Adviser to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mr. Solomon Bonu, disclosed this during the recent annual creative industry skills acquisition workshop organised by the Lagos State Council for Arts and Culture. Speaking at the four-day event, tagged “Unlocking the Potential of the Innate Creativity for Sustainable Development", designed to equip participants for employability opportunities, Bonu noted that the present administration is poised to empower over 2.5 million youths through Arts and Crafts. Buni present 2021 Appropriation Bill of N107 billion in Yobe

Yobe State Governor, Alhaji Mai-Mala Buni has presented an appropriation bill of N107 billion to the State Assembly for the 2021 Fiscal Year. The sum of N63.2 billion is proposed to be expended on total recurrent expenditure and N43.8 billion on total capital expenditure. The sectoral allocation showed that housing and property development got the lion share of N8 billion. Other sectors with large share include: works (N7.8 billion), basic and secondary education (N4.5 billion), agriculture (N4.2 billion), transport and energy (N3.5 billion) and health (N2.1 billion).
