APC CANDIDATE FLAGS OFF CAMPAIGN ON MONDAY

The candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oshodi Isolo local government area of Lagos State, Otunba Kehinde Almoroof Oloyede will flagoff his campaign on Monday. The campaign will kick off with a motorcade from his campaign office to the venue of the flag off, which is Owosheni Primary school, Adeyemi street Oshodi . Several dignitaries are expected at the ceremony including, the state's commissioner for housing, Hon. Moruf Akinderu Fatai, Member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Bashiru Dawodu, Hon. APC postpones Congresses indefinitely

Ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has postponed it's planned congresses indefinitely.  The party in a letter addressed to the Chairman of the  Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) dated July 6th 2021 signed by the Chairman of the Caretaker /Extraordinary Convention planning committee, H.E Mai Mala Buni and secretary, Senator John James Akpan Udoedehe  disclosed that the congresses by the said letter has been suspended indefinitely.  According to the letter made available to newsmen on Friday  titled  Re- Notice of Congresses "we refer to our letter reference number APC/NHDQ/021/20  dated 10th June 2021 on the above subject  and we wish to inform the commission that the party has rescheduled it's congresses and National convention to a later date that will be communicated to you , and the letter serves as formal notification pursuant to the provision of section 85of the electoral (2010) as amended" The postponement has laid to rest the speculation in s

Nonagenarian, teenagers arrested for selling drugs in Katsina, Ondo

A 90-year-old man has been arrested in Katsina State for selling drugs to youths. The man, Yusuf Yarkadir was arrested by operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA in Yarkadir village of Rimi Local Government Area of Katsina state. According to a statement on Friday by the spokesman of NDLEA, Femi Babafemi the nonagenarian was full of regrets under interrogation, and confessed he has been selling cannabis sativa to the youths in his community for eight years due to their demand for the illegal substance, although he failed to disclose his source of supply He however vowed that with his arrest last Wednesday, he is backing out of the business having tried in the past to stop the illicit trade without success. LASG ARRAIGNS EMPLOYER FOR ALLEGED ASSAULT ON STAFF

The Lagos State Government has arraigned one Mrs. Rasheedat Adeleke, before a Yaba Magistrate Court for allegedly assaulting her 29-year-old sales lady in Ikotun area of the State. Speaking on the arraignment, the Counsel from the Directorate of Citizens Rights (DCR), Lagos State Ministry of Justice, Ms. Kafilat Oseni, stated that the accused was arraigned on a two-count charge by the Police in response to a report by the Directorate. She said the defendant, who owns Super King Supreme Store at Ayodele Ogunkoya Street, Ikotun, had assaulted and inflicted severe injuries on Miss Bukola Akinola (29) by pouring hot water on her body at Moriano Close, Saint Saviour Primary School B/stop, Ijegun Road, Lagos on May 28, 2021. POLICE INTENSIFY PATROL AGAINST BLACK AXE 7/7 CELEBRATION

The National Chairman of the South West Agenda for Asiwaju 2023 (SWAGA), Senator Dayo Adeyeye, has commended the Southern governors for their resolve that the next president should come from the zone and said the move is a boost for Nigeria’s nascent democracy.
