KARA BRIDGE TO BE CLOSE FOR INTEGRITY TEST

THIS IS TO BRING TO THE NOTICE OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC, PARTICULARLY ALL USERS OF LAGOS-IBADAN EXPRESSWAY THAT FOLLOWING THE RECENT FIRE INCIDENCE ON KARA BRIDGE, WHICH WAS AS A RESULT OF MULTIPLE ACCIDENTS ON THE BRIDGE, THE FEDERAL MINISTRY OF WORKS AND HOUSING WILL CARRY OUT INTEGRITY TEST ON THE BRIDGE. 

THE TEST WILL TAKE PLACE BETWEEN SATURDAY 27TH JUNE, 2020 AND SUNDAY 28TH JUNE, 2020. ON THE IBADAN BOUND CARRIAGEWAY. 

THE TEST OPERATIONS WILL NECESSITATE THE NARROWING OF THE IBADAN BOUND CARRIAGEWAY TO 2 LANES ONLY. 

THE MONITORING PUBLIC IS ENJOINED TO EXERCISE CAUTION AT THE DIVERSION POINT AND MAINTAIN THE APPROPRIATE SPEED LIMIT.

FOR AVOIDANCE OF DOUBT, THE INTEGRITY TEST ON THE KARA BRIDGE WILL NOT REQUIRE THE TOTAL CLOSURE OF THE BRIDGE.

THE FEDERAL ROAD SAFETY CORPS AND THE OTHER TRAFFIC CONTROL AGENCIES WILL BE ON GROUND TO ENSURE COMPLIANCE TO ALL TRAFFIC REGULATIONS.

PLEASE BEAR WITH AS THE GOVERNMENT TAKES PROACTIVE STEPS TO AVOID ANY DISASTER ON OUR ROADS.

Ooni Condemns Incessant Rape, child Abuse as Ife celebrates Yeyemolu festival

The Arole Oduduwa & Ooni of Ife, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II has condemned incessant rape, child abuse and other forms of molestation particularly against women in the society. Ooni Ogunwusi made the disclosure on Friday, during the annual Yeyemolu festival; which is the remembrance of the first queen of the Ooni of Ife, at his Ile Oduduwa Palace, Ile-Ife. The frontline traditional ruler while explaining the indispensable roles of women in the society, admonished that they should be respectfully protected from all social vices towards creating a better society. “Women must not be made prey in the hands of hoodlums and other disgruntled elements in the society. HON. IDRIS BOLAJI MUSE ARIYOH COMMISERATES WITH FATOKI FAMILY

Oshodi-Isolo Local Government Chairman Hon. Idris Bolaji Muse Ariyoh commiserate with the family of the former Mandate Chairman in Oshodi-Isolo Local Government Elder Albert Babasola Fatoki who passed on today, 10th January 2021 at his residence in Whaabi Larinde after a brief illness.  In a condolence message signed by him, he described the late as a leader, father, an astute politician, and a community leader who spent his life in the service of humanity and his community. He described the exit of the political icon as a great loss to the entire Oshodi community, Ogunoloko ward, and  most especially the All Progressives Congress whose immense contribution to its success in all the elections cannot be over-emphasized.  He prayed Allah  grants him eternal rest and give the family, his friends, and associates the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
