LAWMA ASSURES OF WORKERS PAYMENT

Lagos waste management authority (LAWMA) has assured it's protesting workers and the entire workers in general if it's commitment to the payment of salaries and entitlement of its workforce. 


According to the group"the attention of LAWMA has been drawn to pockets of protests and agitations over issues that bother on our "sweepers contractors" monthly payment,to put the records straight, it is important to inform and educate concerned members of the public, who had been sympathetic and appreciative of the daunting challenges we encounter in ensuring a clean environment and the resolve of Mr. Governor in achieving the "THEMES" agenda of this administration".

The sweepers though, are engaged by contractors who are responsible for their upkeep, despite this however, the Authority and indeed the State government prioritise their welfare and well being, hence, they are given adequate care, support and protection.The Authority has since made April payments to our sweeping contractors , for onward disbursement to their staff members. In addition, efforts are being made to ensure prompt release of subsequent payments, not only for May, but all future payments.",LAWMA said

LAWMA reiterate that the Authority and indeed the State government appreciate the great work our workers are rendering, especially during this Covid-19 pandemic period and assure them that it  will continue to pay optimal premium to their welfare. "We want to use this medium to appreciate everyone who has shown concern and understanding towards our efforts in ensuring a consistently and sustainable cleaner Lagos."

Ooni Condemns Incessant Rape, child Abuse as Ife celebrates Yeyemolu festival

The Arole Oduduwa & Ooni of Ife, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II has condemned incessant rape, child abuse and other forms of molestation particularly against women in the society. Ooni Ogunwusi made the disclosure on Friday, during the annual Yeyemolu festival; which is the remembrance of the first queen of the Ooni of Ife, at his Ile Oduduwa Palace, Ile-Ife. The frontline traditional ruler while explaining the indispensable roles of women in the society, admonished that they should be respectfully protected from all social vices towards creating a better society. “Women must not be made prey in the hands of hoodlums and other disgruntled elements in the society. HON. IDRIS BOLAJI MUSE ARIYOH COMMISERATES WITH FATOKI FAMILY

Oshodi-Isolo Local Government Chairman Hon. Idris Bolaji Muse Ariyoh commiserate with the family of the former Mandate Chairman in Oshodi-Isolo Local Government Elder Albert Babasola Fatoki who passed on today, 10th January 2021 at his residence in Whaabi Larinde after a brief illness.  In a condolence message signed by him, he described the late as a leader, father, an astute politician, and a community leader who spent his life in the service of humanity and his community. He described the exit of the political icon as a great loss to the entire Oshodi community, Ogunoloko ward, and  most especially the All Progressives Congress whose immense contribution to its success in all the elections cannot be over-emphasized.  He prayed Allah  grants him eternal rest and give the family, his friends, and associates the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
