Akeredolu Picks Ayedatiwa as Running Mate

The Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu, has picked a running mate ahead of the October 10 gubernatorial polls,as his incumbent running mate, Agboola has defected to the opposition People's Democratic Party ( PDP) where he contested the party's ticket with the winner,Eyitayo.  

Akeredolu picked a former representative of the state on the Board of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Mr Lucky Ayedatiwa as his deputy.Ayedatiwa is from oil-rich Ilaje LGA of the state.

He is expected to run with Akeredolu in the election provided his name is not changed before August 18, 2020 deadline by INEC.

Recall that Akeredolu estranged former deputy, Hon Agboola Ajayi had since defected to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party and contested for the party’s governorship primary.

However, Ajayi lost the ticket to Eyitayo Jegede SAN.

Ooni Condemns Incessant Rape, child Abuse as Ife celebrates Yeyemolu festival

The Arole Oduduwa & Ooni of Ife, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II has condemned incessant rape, child abuse and other forms of molestation particularly against women in the society. Ooni Ogunwusi made the disclosure on Friday, during the annual Yeyemolu festival; which is the remembrance of the first queen of the Ooni of Ife, at his Ile Oduduwa Palace, Ile-Ife. HON. IDRIS BOLAJI MUSE ARIYOH COMMISERATES WITH FATOKI FAMILY

Oshodi-Isolo Local Government Chairman Hon. Idris Bolaji Muse Ariyoh commiserate with the family of the former Mandate Chairman in Oshodi-Isolo Local Government Elder Albert Babasola Fatoki who passed on today, 10th January 2021 at his residence in Whaabi Larinde after a brief illness.  In a condolence message signed by him, he described the late as a leader, father, an astute politician, and a community leader who spent his life in the service of humanity and his community.
