OSHODI-ISOLO LG HOLDS TWO DAYS SENSITISATION PROGRAMME ON SAFETY PROTOCOLS FOR SCHOOLS RE-OPENING



In preparation towards resumption of schools as directed by  Lagos state government , the association of private school owners/teachers ( APSO) Oshodi Branch  in conjunction with Oshodi-Isolo Local Government on today at the legislative hall in the council secretariat , commenced two days programme on safety protocols for schools re-Opening after COVID-19 with theme : "health safety and hygiene management in schools ".


Supervisor for Education Hon.Ganiu Mejindade who represented the Executive Chairman of the local government Hon.Idris Bolaji Muse Ariyoh at the occassion  emphasised that all measures attributed to prevent spread of  COVID-19 is focused on hygiene and the sensitisation programme is a right step in right direction, because the teachers and school owners must understand the processes in order to lead the students in the right directions. 


He maintained that  the fight  against spread of  COVID-19 epidemic in the local government, lagos state and Nigeria  is not over and advised everyone to still  maintain all the safety health precautions as stated by health experts .


Mr Remi Adbul Director Lagos state , Office of education , Quality assurance who was the facilitator  for the  day program enlightened the teachers and proprietors  more on  steps required for health safety and hygiene management in the schools . 


Area covered by sensitiziation programme today  includes self assessment and safety check list for re-opening of schools, online trainning , re-opening plans, health and safety plan, data communications plans, monitoring and evaluation etc


Mrs Ibe vice chairman of the association in her vote of thanks commended the Local government for the support given to the association and appreciated the director from Lagos state office of  education quality assurance for the  elaborate trainning,Updated information and  awareness of what is required to be done in each of the school to maintained health safety of the pupils and hygiene management in schools after Lagos state  government ease on COVID-19. 


The sensitaisation programme  continues tommorrow at the same venue .
