PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT LAGOS STATE EXAMINATIONS BOARD

Lagos State Examinations Board hereby informs the general public especially the Principals of Public and Approved Private Schools in the State that the NEW DATES for the conduct of year 2020 1.ENTRANCE EXAMINATION(SCREENING TEST) into Lagos State Model Colleges/ Upgraded Junior Secondary Schools and 2.BASIC EDUCATION CERTIFICATE EXAMINATION (BECE) are scheduled to hold as follows: a. Computer Based Testing (CBT) Version of Screening Test :Saturday 26th - Wednesday 30th September, 2020 at the Lagos State Examinations Board by 9.00 am daily b. Paper Pencil Testing (PPT) Version of Screening Test: Saturday 3rd October, 2020 in the Six Education Districts of the State by 9.00am prompt. c. Lagos State Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE): Tuesday 6th - Monday 12th October, 2020 at all designated centres across the State by 9.00am daily. In view of this, the Schools' Principals are advised to take cognizance of the prevailing situation of COVID 19 Pandemic and to adhere strictly to the laid down guidelines and protocols to prevent its spread. The Board also wishes to inform all duly registered candidates to revisit the Exams Board website to reprint their registration slips to ascertain their current centres. We wish them the very best in the forthcoming examinations.

Ooni Condemns Incessant Rape, child Abuse as Ife celebrates Yeyemolu festival

The Arole Oduduwa & Ooni of Ife, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II has condemned incessant rape, child abuse and other forms of molestation particularly against women in the society. Ooni Ogunwusi made the disclosure on Friday, during the annual Yeyemolu festival; which is the remembrance of the first queen of the Ooni of Ife, at his Ile Oduduwa Palace, Ile-Ife. The frontline traditional ruler while explaining the indispensable roles of women in the society, admonished that they should be respectfully protected from all social vices towards creating a better society. “Women must not be made prey in the hands of hoodlums and other disgruntled elements in the society. HON. IDRIS BOLAJI MUSE ARIYOH COMMISERATES WITH FATOKI FAMILY

Oshodi-Isolo Local Government Chairman Hon. Idris Bolaji Muse Ariyoh commiserate with the family of the former Mandate Chairman in Oshodi-Isolo Local Government Elder Albert Babasola Fatoki who passed on today, 10th January 2021 at his residence in Whaabi Larinde after a brief illness.  In a condolence message signed by him, he described the late as a leader, father, an astute politician, and a community leader who spent his life in the service of humanity and his community. He described the exit of the political icon as a great loss to the entire Oshodi community, Ogunoloko ward, and  most especially the All Progressives Congress whose immense contribution to its success in all the elections cannot be over-emphasized.  He prayed Allah  grants him eternal rest and give the family, his friends, and associates the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
