SHAMMEH'S LEGACY PROJECTS COMMISSIONED
.As Tributes, Praises Rain On Council Boss
It was encomiums and tributes galore as Executive Chairman of Isolo LCDA, Hon Shamsudeen Abiodun Olaleye commissioned a total of 11 legacy projects to mark his third years in office.
The commissioning ceremony which took place on Thursday 19th November 2020 drew a large crowd of dignitaries to the council secretariat among whom was the Commissioner for Local Government and Community Devt. Hon Wale Ahmed.
Other dignitaries include the Osolo of Isolo, Oba Kabiru Adelaja Agbabiaka; representative of APC state chairman, Alhaji Tunde Balogun; former MHR representing Oshodi/Isolo Federal Constituency II, Hon Hakeem Muniru; the state chairman of Lagos State Community Development Committees Advisory Council (CDCAC), Alhaji Azeez Amusat and four council chairmen including that of Ifako-Ijaiye, Apostle Oloruntoba Oke; Ajeromi-Ifelodun, Hon Ayoola Fatai; Agege, Hon Egunjobi and Lagos East, Hon Kamaldeen Bashua.
Others include ace Juju musician, Sir Shina Peters, political leaders, market men and women, artisans, students, youths, politicians and council staffs.
The legacy projects commissioned yesterday include the ultra-modern new chairman office complex, the new Legislative Block and nine new road projects. The road projects are Moshalashi Street (Isolo), Adebajo Street (Ishagatedo), Sylvester Anyanwu (Ago-Okota), Nwakibe (Ago-Okota), Dotun Adeagbo (Ago-Okota), Hakeem Onitiri (Ago-Okota), Adejoke Sumbo (Ago-Okota), Fabiyi (Ilasamaja) and Lukman Atobajeun (Ajao Estate).
In his opening remark, Isolo LCDA chairman, Hon Shamsudeen Abiodun Olaleye noted that the projects were carefully selected to stand the test of time and become a reference point of developmental strides for incoming generations.
The Commissioner for Local Government and Community Development, Hon Wale Ahmed said he was excited about the projects being commissioned adding that such developmental strides are what the present state government stands for. He added that he was proud of what Hon Olaleye has done in Isolo in the last three years.
Also speaking at the occasion, the Osolo of Isolo, Oba Kabiru Agbabiaka praised the council boss for his development effort which he claimed remains unsurpassed.
"I am highly impressed by what our council chairman has been doing in Isolo. We have not witnessed this before in the history of our local government.
"May God continue to give him the strength and wisdom to be able to do more, " Osolo prayed.
Also, former House of Representatives member representing Oshodi/Isolo Federal Constituency II, Hon Gbolahan Okuneye remarked that Shammeh has brought unprecedented developments, progress and unity to Isolo.
"Shammeh has done wonderfully well for us in Isolo. I have never seen a local government administration that has brought more development to Isolo.
"Besides, he has done what many of our leaders have failed to do," says Okuneye.
