Charges the Legislative House on speedy consideration



In consonance with the doctrine of separation of powers as enshrined in the constitution with the power for approval of Fiscal appropriation resting with the legislative arm.


The Executive Chairman of Oshodi-Isolo Local Government, Hon. Idris Bolaji Muse Ariyoh on Wednesday presented year 2021 Proposed Budget to the legislative arm for consideration.


The presentation was witnessed by the Management and other stakeholders of the council area had the chairman presented a total sum of #2,433,717,555.42 to the legislative arm as the fiscal appropriation for year 2021.


During the budget presentation to the Honourable House, the council helmsman gave a detailed of the financial breakdown for the year 2020 and the projection for the coming year.


According to him,"  year 2020 has been a challenging one  for the Nation with the outbreak of pandemic virus(COVID-19) and Endsar protests that rocked the state"


" Despite all the challenges that confronted the country and Lagos State in particular, the Local Government was able to justify her existence by living up to expectation in tackling those  challenges with remarkable impact made in the year," he said.


Whilst giving projection into year 2021, Hon. Idris Bolaji Muse Ariyoh reiterated his commitment to the continued growth and development of the Local Government with a Budget well designed to meet the yearnings and aspirations of the community.


In the Budget presented by the council chairman, tagged: Budget of Transition, Premium was given to  Works, Housing and infrastructure, Environmental services and Primary Health Care of the council area in tandem with the cardinal Focus of the State Government policy with the acronym 'T.H.E.M.E.S'


Concluding, he expressed his profound gratitude to the community stakeholders for their unflinching support given to his administration since the assumption of office which has brought monumental growth and development at the grassroots.


The Leader of the legislative House, Hon. Rasheed Obasa in acceptance of the Budget presented to the House, lauded the Council chairman, Hon. Idris Bolaji Muse Ariyoh for his leadership sagacity and administrative acumen well channeled in the implementation of the outgoing year Budget with the great impact made.


The council Leader said upon receiving the Budget as presented that the House would waste no time to commence the business of deliberation which will  follow by Budget defense by HODs and others.


The medium was also used by the Leader of the House to enumerate some of the remarkable achievements made by the 9th Legislative House in making laws and other  business of representation  well carried out by the House.


Hon. Rasheed Obasa promised that the Budget would be well deliberated upon before passage in ensuring that it take  into cognizance the needs, yearnings, and aspirations of the people.


He, however, advised the Executive arm to intensify efforts in driving the internally Generated Revenue of the Council for funds to drive people -developmental projects and policies as stated in the Proposed Budget Document.


The Budget Presentation witnessed another   epoch event which was the appreciation of some notable leaders in Oshodi , whose contributions  to the  growth and development of the Council remains indelible.


Amongst those given an award of appreciation for excellent service to the Community are Pa.JO Olabintan , Hon.Olamide Kasali and the Council Chairman, Hon.Idris Bolaji Muse Ariyoh while Posthumous award was given to Alhaji Ganiyu Ebudola Badmus and Alhaja Modupeola Shakirat Ariyoh for their excellence and indelible impact made for the betterment of the Local Government.


The Budget Presentation was witnessed by the community stakeholders such as party leaders, CDC leaders, Market and Artisan representatives,management, and staff of the council.


All the councilors were all seen in action with meaningful contribution at the Budget Presentation.


The majority leader, Hon.Seyi Jaiyesimi representing Ewu-Ward and Hon.Azeez Jaiyeola representing Igbehindadun ward gave a cursory account of the achievement of the 9th Legislative House.


Other lawmakers that contributed are Hon.Femi Wasiu Mustapha representing Shogunle ward, Hon.M.O Rasaq representing Afariogun , Hon.Khadijat Jimoh representing Ogunoloko ward and the Deputy leader of the House, Hon.Bukola Lawal representing Mafoluku ward.


Amongst notable leaders present are Pa JO Olabitan, Chief.Mrs Badeko,Hon.S.O Aina, the former chairman of the Local Government,CDC chairman, Alhaji Olawonyi , CDC first vice chairman , Comrade Ade Macathy ,State Exco Comrade Israel Akiode chairman state disable , Elder.Wale Ariyor, the State Auditor of APC , Alhaji Obidairo, Comrade Dele Ogunsakin, Comrade Taiwo Shanana , former SSA to  Governor Ambode and many more.

Ooni Condemns Incessant Rape, child Abuse as Ife celebrates Yeyemolu festival

The Arole Oduduwa & Ooni of Ife, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II has condemned incessant rape, child abuse and other forms of molestation particularly against women in the society. Ooni Ogunwusi made the disclosure on Friday, during the annual Yeyemolu festival; which is the remembrance of the first queen of the Ooni of Ife, at his Ile Oduduwa Palace, Ile-Ife. HON. IDRIS BOLAJI MUSE ARIYOH COMMISERATES WITH FATOKI FAMILY

Oshodi-Isolo Local Government Chairman Hon. Idris Bolaji Muse Ariyoh commiserate with the family of the former Mandate Chairman in Oshodi-Isolo Local Government Elder Albert Babasola Fatoki who passed on today, 10th January 2021 at his residence in Whaabi Larinde after a brief illness.  In a condolence message signed by him, he described the late as a leader, father, an astute politician, and a community leader who spent his life in the service of humanity and his community. He described the exit of the political icon as a great loss to the entire Oshodi community, Ogunoloko ward, and  most especially the All Progressives Congress whose immense contribution to its success in all the elections cannot be over-emphasized.  He prayed Allah  grants him eternal rest and give the family, his friends, and associates the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
