NATIONAL POPULATION COMMISSION COMMENCES ENUMERATION AREA DEMARCATION (EAD) IN OSHODI-ISOLO LGA/ AMUWO ODOFIN LGA




The National Population Commission has commenced enumeration area demarcation (EAD) in Oshodi- Isolo Local Government which comprises of  Isolo LCDA, Ejigbo LCDA, and Amuwo Odofin Local Government which include Oriade LCDA


According to Barrister Bimbola Salu-Hundeyin Honourable federal commissioner who spoke at the commencement of the event on 21st December 2020 at the legislative hall in Oshodi-Isolo local government secretariat,  said the exercise is to pave way for the coming national census and implored the host local government and LCDA to provide an enabling environment such as accommodation,

security, gingles for sensitization, and adequate welfare to support the success of the  exercise.


 Earlier, Hon.Emmanuel Kolawole Isolo LCDA SLG represented the Chairman Hon. Shamusedeen Olaleye and pledge the LCDA support for the smooth execution of the exercise.


In the same vein, Hon. Taoheed Abiola Oladipupo, Secretary to Oshodi-Isolo local government who represented the chairman Hon. Idris Bolaji Muse Ariyoh explained that as a former enumerator he understands the challenges ahead for the enumerator and promised to present them to the chairman for immediate solutions and assured the enumerator of the local government support for a hitch-free enumeration area demarcation exercise.


The team later paid a courtesy visit to Oshodi-Isolo local government Hon. Idris Bolaji Muse Ariyoh in his office where he assured the entire enumerator team of their safety and support by the host Local government and developmental centres. 


He however advised the team to be compassionate and friendly with the people in the community and be patient to attend to their questions.


The exercise has already commenced and it will end in forty-six days.
