CDHR LOOSES STAFF

Foremost human rights group, committee for the defence of human rights in the early hours of Thursday lost one of its staff, Comrade Kolawole Afolabi after a brief illness. 



The late Afolabi was the chief driver of the organization until his death this morning 


His corpse has been transported to his home town in kwara state for burial. 



In his brief remarks, the president of the organization, Dr Osagie Obayuwana described the late Afolabi as a dedicated and highly committed worker why will be greatly missed by the organization..

A warning had been given to all practitioners in the movie industry to get registered with the National Film and Video censors Board (NFVCB) or they risk being blacklisted.   This warning was handed down on Wednesday in Lagos by the Director General of the NFVCB, Alhaji Adedayo Thomas at an interactive session with professional groups and guilds, where he reiterated that all guilds are to coordinate the registration of their members with the board..  He disclosed that the directive has become imperative inorder to restore sanity to the industry and save it from influx of none professionals into the movies world thereby denying the core professionals from enjoying the sweat of their labour,stressing that the directive for registration is in tandem with Act 17, subsection 2 and 3 of the board.  According to him*few months ago,we called on guilds and associations to come and revalidate or register their members.
