...Advises residents to disregard unfounded lies peddling against the Vaccine


As the struggle for the curtailing of the spread of the novel virus confronting the globe continues.


Oshodi-Isolo Local Government on Monday officially commenced the flag off vaccination campaign exercise to create awareness among the residents at the grassroots.


Hon.Diasi-Oso, who also doubles as the supervisory councilor for health in his welcome address appreciated the relentless efforts demonstrated by the government at the grassroots while he assured that there will be constant enlightenment to encourage the people especially the frontline workers to receive  the vaccine.


At the flag-off campaign, the MOH of the council, Dr. Ubani said the time we are now is time for action by receiving the vaccine.


In the same direction, the information health officer of the local government, Mrs.Aiyedun said the essence of the vaccine is to increase the immune system of the body in combating the virus.


She said further that the Vaccine is strictly for the frontline workers such as the Doctors, Nurses, Security personnel, Airline staff, and others who play a pivotal role and are exposed to contracting the virus.


She, however, submitted that all the precautionary measures in the fight against the spread of COVID-19 such as regular washing of the hands, use of hand sanitizer, use of Facemask, and keeping physical  distancing are still very essential.


The  Executive Chairman of the council, Hon. Idris Bolaji Muse Ariyoh in his address charged residents of the local government to disregard unfounded lies being peddling regarding the  AstraZeneca vaccine.


His words," The world has been subjected to turmoil with the outbreak of the novel pandemic virus which practically has birthed a new order across the globe.


" I am glad that in finding a lasting remedy to the pandemic that the Medical Scientists have been able to come about this vaccine to improve  the immune system  in the fight against the spread of the  virus.


The Council helmsman added that the vaccine will provide a huge relief to the vaccinated as their immune system will be strengthened.


He encouraged residents to visit the nearest accredited Public primary  health centers for the collection of the vaccine.


The flag-off ceremony witnessed the council chairman demonstrating leadership by receiving his dose while other executive members of the council, Legislators, and Management staff also joined in receiving their dosage.


The epoch event was witnessed by the Members of the Executive council, legislators, and residents of the council in adherence to COVID-19 rules.

The Arole Oduduwa & Ooni of Ife, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II has condemned incessant rape, child abuse and other forms of molestation particularly against women in the society. HON. IDRIS BOLAJI MUSE ARIYOH COMMISERATES WITH FATOKI FAMILY

Oshodi-Isolo Local Government Chairman Hon. Idris Bolaji Muse Ariyoh commiserate with the family of the former Mandate Chairman in Oshodi-Isolo Local Government Elder Albert Babasola Fatoki who passed on today, 10th January 2021 at his residence in Whaabi Larinde after a brief illness.  In a condolence message signed by him, he described the late as a leader, father, an astute politician, and a community leader who spent his life in the service of humanity and his community. He described the exit of the political icon as a great loss to the entire Oshodi community, Ogunoloko ward, and  most especially the All Progressives Congress whose immense contribution to its success in all the elections cannot be over-emphasized.  He prayed Allah  grants him eternal rest and give the family, his friends, and associates the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
