PARTY LEADER DRAGS COUNCIL CHAIRMAN TO ZONE 2 OVER ASSAULT AND THREAT TO LIFE



A chieftain of the ruling All progressives Congress (APC) in  Oshodi Isolo local government of Lagos State , Hon. Olalekan Adekoya popularly known as Alausa has dragged the chairman of the council to the Assistant Inspector General Of Police zone 2 ,Lagos alleging that the council boss ordered his security details to beat him mercilessly at a function  and that he escaped death by the whiskers. 



In a petition to the police, Hon Adekoya alleged that on the 24th of February this year at a social function in the council Secretariat, the chairman having gotten to the venue wanted him thrown out for his refusal to "greet him properly" 



According to him" the whole incident occurred on the 24 February 2021 ,where a colleague and a friend, Hon Ganiu Mejindade was celebrating his 50th birthday. The chairman came and was furious that I didn't greet him well. He asked the celebrant to excuse me from the gathering, but such was rebuffed , in annoyance, he ordered his security details to chase me out of the council. They shot into the air severally and beat me like a common criminal  and having satisfied the whims of the chairman, I was dragged out and my skull was in pains immediately they left me. "


He claimed that though he reported the matter at the police division , Akinpelu police station, but the chairman refused to honour the invitation of the DPO and that his lawyer had to write to the AIG.  


The chairman after several invitations from the AIG's office on Tuesday 13th April 2021appeared before the police and was made to write statement of his involvement in the fracas. 


It was also disclosed that the chairman has been compelled by the police authority to produce all his details who carried out the devilish act.  



Efforts to get the attention of the chairman proved abortive as message to his WhatsApp line was not answered.  


However an aide of his,though not authorised to speak on the issue said "since the matter is before the police,we leave it at that "he said.
