CRISIS LOOMING IN EGBEDA LAND

  There seems to be a crisis looming between the    newly crowned Oba of Egbeda, His Royal Majesty Oba Hammed Orelope Laka and some Chiefs installed by the late Oba of Egbeda kingdom.     


   Report reaching us has it that the new Oba have decided to remove the current Youth leader ,(Olori Odo) Chief Ogunji who was installed by the late Oba Samson Balogun, interestingly the current Oba is the senior brother to  the wife of Ogunji but  the current Oba  due to   Irreconcilable differences  have decided to look the other way without consulting any one regarding his decision  before initiating  the process to install a new Olori Odo (youth leader) which may lead to crisis.


When our correspondent called Chief Ogunji on phone he said " the Oba should make peace by recognising the chiefs of the late Oba of Egbeda which brought peace and order during his reign rather than engaging in decisions that will create rancour among his subjects." 


"But myself like every other person is seeing this as a rumour."

"Incase this decision comes to a fruition in which I doubt, necessary legal actions will be taken  against the Oba  if he goes ahead with such decision which is against the Chieftaincy law of Lagos State."


As at the time of filling in this report, our effort to reach the new Elegbeda has not been successful.

Ooni Condemns Incessant Rape, child Abuse as Ife celebrates Yeyemolu festival

The Arole Oduduwa & Ooni of Ife, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II has condemned incessant rape, child abuse and other forms of molestation particularly against women in the society. Ooni Ogunwusi made the disclosure on Friday, during the annual Yeyemolu festival; which is the remembrance of the first queen of the Ooni of Ife, at his Ile Oduduwa Palace, Ile-Ife. HON. IDRIS BOLAJI MUSE ARIYOH COMMISERATES WITH FATOKI FAMILY

Oshodi-Isolo Local Government Chairman Hon. Idris Bolaji Muse Ariyoh commiserate with the family of the former Mandate Chairman in Oshodi-Isolo Local Government Elder Albert Babasola Fatoki who passed on today, 10th January 2021 at his residence in Whaabi Larinde after a brief illness.  In a condolence message signed by him, he described the late as a leader, father, an astute politician, and a community leader who spent his life in the service of humanity and his community. He described the exit of the political icon as a great loss to the entire Oshodi community, Ogunoloko ward, and  most especially the All Progressives Congress whose immense contribution to its success in all the elections cannot be over-emphasized.  He prayed Allah  grants him eternal rest and give the family, his friends, and associates the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
