HON. FEMI MUSTAPHA SEEKS RE-ELECTION
...Assures Residents of Continued Quality Representation.
The councilor representing Ward E1(Shogunle) at the Legislative arm of Oshodi-Isolo Local Government, Hon.F EMI Wasiu Mastapha has sought re-election for a second term.
This was made known at the ward meeting of the All Progressives Congress in Shogunle on Friday when the lawmaker and other aspirants jostling for the seat of councillorship made their intentions known to the executive members of the party.
Hon.F emi Mustapha during the declaration appreciated the leaders, elders and party members for their always unflinching support while seeking office in 2017 and throughout his first tenure of representation which recorded an unprecedented impact in the annal of representation in the ward.
At the declaration of intention, the grassroots lawmaker gave a brief account of his stewardship of representation in meeting the yearnings and aspirations of the people at the ward level.
He said that despite the challenges witnessed, he never relents in providing the quality representation promised while seeking office in 2017.
He added that among his achievements in office was the special welfare package given to widows in the community with no fewer than 100 were beneficiaries of food items and cash support.
Educational support for primary school pupils which covered all the primary schools in shogunle with each pupil given 10 big notes and other stationery materials to aid their studies.
Indigent students in tertiary institutions were also assisted with financial support while UTME and GCE forms were also purchased for secondary school students with over 30 who benefited from this scheme.
The lawmaker said further that his representation also witnessed the organizing of different sports programs and also co-sponsored many with organizers in the community.
In resolving the problem of water supply within the community, he constructed a Borehole water supply in Ayinke street.
At the peak of the COVID-19 which occasioned the lockdown experienced, Hon. Femi Wasiu disclosed that he gave 10 bags of Rice and 10/bags of Garri with cash which was distributed within the nooks and crannies of the community as part of his COVID-19 intervention relief.
Among the developmental project facilitated was the grading of some roads in Shogunle such as Fagboola street and Onikewula while he has promised that proper work will commence on Onikewunla as part the state ward intervention project.
Reconstruction of the collapse perimeter fence in Temidire primary was part of what he listed as part of his achievements in office.
He , however , assured the residents and party members of a robust and quality representation if given the party's mandate for a second term.
The declaration which also witness Hon.Muritala onikewunla and Hon.Tokunbo Akindele declared their aspiration of jostling for the position of councilorship of the ward.
Comrade Ayeni Oluwaseun , the ward chairman of the All Progressive Congress implored all the aspirants to maintain peace before , during and after the primaries and ensure that they work in accordance with the laid down rules of the party for continuous peace within the party.
The declaration was witnessed by the rank and file of party with prayer said for a peaceful intra-party election.
At the end of the meeting, each party member smiled home with donations from the aspirants.
